About Me

I grew up with my grandparents in a small town in southern China. Thanks to my grandmother who cherished my education above all, I became the first college student in my family. In the high school, I habored two distinct dream careers, being a writer or being a physicist. My heart eventually led me to science, as I believe writing is mostly a lonely journey while I would love to collaborate with people. I came to to Nanjing, a city steeped in history and beauty, where my fascination with physics blossomed into a love for astronomy.  After obtaining my Bachelor’s degree, I kept moving north to Beijing, where I attend the master program with a focus in the studies of solar atmosphere.

2019 marked a pivotal chapter in my life as I traversed the vast Pacific to Hawaii for my PhD. There, I developed a strong interest in exoplanets. This burgeoning field, ever-evolving and our understanding improved year by year, beckoned me to explore the unknown - to search for other worlds that might echo our own.

Though the path of a writer wasn't mine to walk, the world of literature remains a cherished sanctuary. I love reading during my spare time. One of my favorite books is “The Dispossessed” by Ursula Le Guin, a Sci-Fi that contrasts two very different civilizations on a planet "Urras" and its moon "Anarres".
